Dr Summer Walker is originally from McComb, Mississippi. She has two favorite times of the year: Spring, when she can go on long walks and do some gardening (she really likes roses and tulips) and the Fall, when she can pull for Mississippi State (she is an avid college football fan!). She has a love for the outdoors and can be found camping and fishing in her free time. She also likes to read: top picks include Edgar Allen Poe short stories and John Grisham.
She particularly enjoys the internal medicine aspect of veterinary medicine. Some cases are like puzzles and she likes figuring them out. Dr Walker completed undergraduate school with a Bachelor of Animal & Dairy Sciences in 2006 at Mississippi State University. She attended graduate school for a Master of Science with a special interest in public health and food safety. She then received her veterinary degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Dr. Walker also completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, Florida.
She and her family share their home with two cats and two dogs.
